Alex Lindquist

Acting User Facility Director

Alex Lindquist leads the ESIF, ensuring it is strategically aligned, research-ready, safe, and stewarded as a national user facility. He oversees facility operations, infrastructure, and space governance while coordinating across internal and external partners, sponsors, and collaborators.

Andrew Hudgins

Acting Laboratory Program Manager, ESIF and ARIES

Andrew Hudgins leads collaboration activities that use ESIF’s capabilities to meet research objectives for industry partners and programmatic goals for the U.S. Department of Energy. He also leads partnership development efforts and strategic alignment initiatives for the Advanced Research on Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES) research platform.

Greg Martin

Research Engineering Manager

Greg Martin leads the ESIF research engineering team and serves as design authority and steward for ESIF research capabilities. He has been a key contributor to the design and technical development of ESIF and led many of the first projects within the facility.

Heather Newell

User Program Manager

Heather Newell is the primary contact for ESIF users, ensuring effective onboarding, planning, and integration of internal and external users by balancing their needs with facility safety, capacity, and strategic priorities.
